Bongo Flava artist Zuhura Othman Soud aka Zuchu has announced they have separated with her husband and music star Naseeb Abdul aka Diamond after being together for six years.
Through her Instagram page, Zuchu shared a statement informing her fans that she has made a very difficult statement to walk away from their relationship.
The 31 years old Zuchu did not disclose the specific reasons behind their separation, she asked her supporters to respect her privacy as she focuses on her personal well-being and career.
“After three years of dating, Nasib and I have mutually decided to call it quits. This was a positive, mutual decision, and we remain on good terms,” Zuchu wrote.
The Sukari hitmaker also revealed that despite ending their relationship, they still have a joint project set for release.
She went ahead to urged her fans not to be surprised when they see them working together professionally.
“We still have an upcoming project together, so don’t be surprised when it is released,” she added.
Zuchu went on to wish her ex husband Diamond Platnumz well and thanked her fans for their continued support, saying her priority now is healing and advancing her music career.
“My main focus now is on healing and my career,” she concluded.
The announcement has sparked widespread reactions across East Africa, with many fans expressing sadness over the split while praising the pair for handling the separation respectfully.
The two former love birds confirmed their relationship several years after she joined Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), the record label owned by Diamond.
Their relationship became one of the most talked-about celebrity romances in East Africa, marked by public displays of affection, hit collaborations, and recurring speculation about their future together.
As of the time of publication, Diamond Platnumz had not publicly commented on Zuchu’s announcement.
